What I did not know is that Lomax was also
photographer. The book presents a series of stunning black and white photos taken in many countries documenting Italian movingly people that lived in rural Italy of the fifties.
Using these photos came to my mind images of Tunisia, Egypt and Libya's these days of rebellion. Men and women civilians, crippled by an atavistic misery, dressed in poor clothes, but armed with great dignity.
