With Ubuntu you can use the technology OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to convert paper documents, scanned and digital documents into editable, that transform an image into text. We will use Tesseract-ocr as basic software, gImageReader (graphical user interface for Tesseract-ocr) and Xsane for scanning.
